  • Men Commissioners and other ranks shall wear uniform as under:
  • Shirt : A steel grey shirt with two patch pockets with shoulder straps with half or rolled up sleeves: sleeves may be  turned down in cold weather.
  • Trousers : Navy blue trousers
  • Head Dress: Dark blue beret cap with official cap badge supplied by National Association. A Sikh may wear a blue turban with official Cap Badge. Beret Cap is optional. Wearing of the cap is compulsory during Ceremonies.
  • Belt: Grey Nylex belt with official buckle of the Bharat Scouts & Guides supplied by the National Association (When a jersey is worn belt shall be worn under the jersey).
  • Scarf: A triangular scarf of appropriate colourwith a base and two sides; each of the two sides shall have a minimum length of 70cms. and maximum length of  90 cms. worn round the neck properly rolledup over the shoulder straps with a woggle other than the Gilwell-Woggle. They may also wear the Himalaya Wood Badge Scarf if entitled to it. If they are connected with group they may also wear the scarf of the Group.

All the Training Counsellors shall wear the Scarf in Yellow Colour.


  1. Membership Badge: A cloth badge with green background with Fleur-de-lis in yellow, superimposed by Trefoil with the Ashoka Chakra also in yellow in the centre shall be worn in the centre of the pleat of the left pocket of the shirt or at the same place on the jersey.
  2. World Scout Badge : This shall be worn in the centre of the pleat of the right pocket of the shirt
  3. Rank Badge: A Rank Badge as designed by the Bharat Scouts & Guides for the particular rank held by the adult leader may be worn 4 cms above the left pocket of the shirt or at the same place on the jersey.
  4. Socks: Black socks shall be worn.
  5. Footwear : Black shoes (leather) with laces may be worn.
  6. The Name stripe containing "The Bharat Scout & Guides" supplied by National Headquarters may be just above the right pocket of the shirt. The size of the stripe should be 11 cm x 2 cm, the right corner of which should be tri colour of National Flag of the size of 3 cm x 2 cm and rest for the Title of the Bharat Scout & Guides.
  7. Name Plate : A white plastic name plate of 8 cm length x 2 cm width inscribing the name of Adult Leader in black colour shall be won above the right pocket of the shirt just below the BSG stripe.
  8. Shoulder Badge : A shoulder Badge of 6 cm. to 8 cm x 1.5 cm. with White background and Red Border and the Name of the District/ State in Red Letters shall be worn on both the shoulders just below the seam with a little curve.
  9. Overcoat, Blazer of Jacket: A navy Blue overcoat, Navy blue wind cheater of jacket may be worm during winter season.
  10. Metal Badge : A metal badge similar to the cloth badge may be worn in mufti.

Casual Wears
Navy blue T. Shirt with BSG Emblem;
Blue Trouser with BSG Belt, Black socks and Shoes
For Seminars, Meetings, Conferences, Blue Colour Tie with BSG Emblem on a right blue shirt and navy blue Trouser may be worm. Navy Blue Blazer with BS & G logo, Scarf / Tie may also be worm during the International gathering.

  1. Women Commissioners and other ranks shall wear uniform as under
  2. Salwar, Kameez and Dupatta : A white salwar and white kameez of plain non-transparent material. The length of the Kameex shall be upto the Knees. The Kameez shall have two patch pockets and toword side pockets, half sleeves 8 cm. above the elbow with turned up and stitched down cuffs. 4 cm. wide open sports collar with epaulettes on both shoulders. The salwar and kameez shall not be tight-fitted. The Dupttashal be deep sky-blue in colour made of plain non-transparent material

Or
Midi Skirt and Blouse : Midi skirt in deep sky-blue colour made of plain non-transparent material with side pockets and slit at the back. The length of the skirt will be upto the half distance between knee and ankle. A white blouse of plain non-transparent material with two patch pockets, half sleeves 8 cm. above the elbow with turned up and stitched down cuffs 4 cm. wide open sports collar with epaulettes on both the shoulders. The length of the blouse shall be 8 cm. below the waistline. The skirt and blouse shall not be tight fitted.
OR
Saree and Blouse : Deep sky-blue saree made of plain non-transparent material and a white blouse of plain non-transparent material with two patch pockets. half sleeves 8 cm. above the elbow with turned up and stitched down cuffs 4 cm. wide, open sports collar with epaulettes on both the shoulders. The length of the blouse shall be 8 cm. below the waistline. The blouse shall not be tight fitted.

Note : The Scarf of Commissioners of all ranks is purple in colour.

  1. Belt :Brown NYLEX belt with official buckle of the Bharat Scouts and Guides supplied by the National Association.

Note :The belt is optional when a blouse and saree are worn.

  1. Socks : Camel socks may be worn.
  2. Footwear : Black leather or black canvas closed shoes may be worn.
  3. Rank Badge : A Rank Badge as designed by the Bharat Scouts and Guides for the particular rank held by the adult leader may be worn above the right pocket or on the side not covered by the saree

Note : The Commissioner shall wear around metal Rank Badge of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Emblem in purple colourwith purple border.

  1. World Guide Badge: A Cloth World Guide badge shall be worn in the middle of the right Sleeve.

  1. Membership Badge : A cloth badge with green background with Fleur-de-lis in yellow, superimposed by Trefoil with Ashoka Chakra also in yellow in the centre shall be worn in the centre of the plea of the left pocket of the shirt or at the same place on the jersey.
  2. World Scout Badge : This shall be worn in the centre of the pleat of the right pocket of the shirt.
  3. Rank Badge : (i) A Rank Badge as designed by the Bharat Scouts and Guides for the particular rank held by the adult leader may be worn 4 cm. above the left pocket of the shirt or at the same place on the jersey.

Note :       (i) A cloth rank  badge green in colour, with Bharat Scouts and Guides Emblem may be worn 4 cm. above the left pocket.
(ii) A similar metal badge in green colour may be worn in mufti, 4 cms, above the left pocket.
(iii) Onthe badge, the appropriate letter to denote the Rank, such as P for President, VP for Vice-President, T for Treasure, S for Secretary, JS for Joint Secretary, Ch for Chairman and E for Examiner and I for Instructor may be inscribed.
